The 4th
convocation for teacher graduates was held at Paro College of Education on 7th
of January, 2013 with total number of 1170 graduates, graduated in the year 2009,
2010 and 2011 from Samtse College of Education (SCE) and Paro College of Education (PCE). Addressing, His Majesty said a knot of promise to serve Tsa-wa
sum should be instilled in the heart of an individual teachers. His Majesty
advised the teachers to understand the national goals which are one of the
important notes that a teacher should know. The four national goal includes:
Security and Sovereignty, Peace and Unity, Good governance and Preservation of
Cultures (which is the symbol of sovereignty). One of the important notes that
His Majesty shared with the graduates was “A teacher should have a respectable
and decent role model and it is the responsibility of teacher to make student a
prominent citizen of the country”. His
Majesty also said, as a teacher we should mien our student at an individual
level with different expectations and aspirations. Despite of that, a teacher
should inspire, motivate and correct the student and teach the students with
greater zeal and zest. In collaboration, the students of Samtse College of
Education (SCE) and Paro College of Education (PCE) performed flawless cultural
activities to mark the joint convocation day.
